It's more like a fun tournament for the people who like to watch some cool Quake games. For myself I rather would like to see more Quake 4 tournaments, because that’s what I am playing professional and Quake 4 is the game I enjoy playing competitive. [cc]mymTw[/cc]: Now, we know that you always have the potential to win a Quake4-Tourney. Do you think you have the potential to win a 'Quad-tathlon' like that? [pp]Toxjq:[/pp] I believe that I have a chance of winning QuakeCon of course, but I did not play so much 1v1 in Quake 1 and Quake 3, and I almost didn’t play any Quake 2 at all. And there is a lot of luck involved in this tournament, with coinflipping which game and map is going to be played. That makes it very random, depending on what favourite game and maps you got. [cc]mymTw[/cc]: Did you practice Quake 1 and Quake 2 online a lot? Did you bootcamp together with Fox. What was your preparation for the event? [pp]Toxjq:[/pp] At this moment I am not sure how to prepare for this event, I think I will try to search for someone to bootcamp with, if I don’t find anyone to bootcamp with, then I will most likely only play online with old friends who played Quake 1 and Quake 3 with me.[cc]mymTw[/cc]: QuakeCon is a North-American Tournament. Are you scared of unknown American Quake 1 and Quake 2 players making you a hard time? [pp]Toxjq:[/pp] I am never scared of anyone when I am playing, but I know that there are players that are a better then me at Quake 1 and Quake 2 1v1. I believe that there will be a lot of games that will get to tie. And then it's all about knowing the third game better then your opposite. You have to be lucky with the coinflip, at this event you need to play every player as if it would be the grand final. [cc]mymTw[/cc]: Did you even touch Quake 1 or Quake 2 in a serious way? [pp]Toxjq:[/pp] I take the event as a fun event, I don’t put in too much thought. I don’t want to make my Quake 4 game weaker before the upcoming WSVG-Stops. [cc]mymTw[/cc]: Besides you Fox, Jibo and PURRI are going overseas, too. Do you think these guys are your main opponents? [pp]Toxjq:[/pp] I am sure these players will be tough to play, because they all know 3 of the Quake games really well, but I will not pick anyone as my main opponent, because there will be players that going to win their favorite game versus me most likely, so everyone will be my main opponent for this event (laughs).
