mymTw: It's quite along back in time since we saw the former eSuba, now Reason Gaming, dominating the field. Their performances sag down slightly after the phenomenal success at the French LAN 79. What are the reasons for the bad performance lately and what happened to the squad meanwhile?
PhP: I don't think we are underperforming, there just weren't many online tournaments we've been participating in lately, plus you can add it's summer and we were a bit inactive after lan79.
mymTw: Could you describe your players with a few words for each? And what task and position they have within the squad?
PhP: UN - good player to cover bombsites, strong rifleman.
pR - another strong rifleman and very clever player.
sneix - great clutch player and aimer, good for covering bombistes once the bomb
has been planted.
WT - our tactic leader, and great sniper.
mymTw: A few days ago Karel "*sneix*" Pavlica teamed up with the division. What do you expect personally of him and did he well integrated into the team or does it still take some time?
PhP: He fit into team **perfectly**, we played with him back in days at DEFEATERS,* so it wasn't that hard, and he get along with us really well.*He has big shoes to fill for STR though, and that isn't easy task.
mymTw: How important is the eXperience LAN event for you guys? Do you see your participation more like a boot camp than truly compete for the Gold?
PhP: I think every top team aims for gold, as skill level is quite narrow and everyone can beat everyone, I'm sure there will be a lot of close matches though.
mymTw: How did you prepare for the event?
PhP: We are just having online pcws.
mymTw: What are your expectations and ambitions in Denmark?
PhP: A Top5placement would be great, but I want to beat good teams in the playoffs rather than have an easy bracket.
mymTw: Which team(s) Reason Gaming.css would like to face during the tournament?
PhP: Redline and OBi, their playstyle fits us perfectly, we know how to beat them.
mymTw: What team is underrated the most before the LAN event is going to start off?
PhP: I think that mTw is a little bit underrated, and they can do big damage if they would attend, but also if Epsilon keep up to their recent form they will definetely end in the top3.
mymTw: Who are the favorites in the tourney in your eyes?
PhP: Magnitude, Logitech and MGC.
mymTw: What weight does the i34 and the PC Gamer Showdown have in comparison to the TEX event and how will the team come off?
PhP: We didn't have time to talk about I34 and PC Gamer Showdown so far, as we are really concentrating on TEX, but every lan is important for us. We will go by plane on all lans.
mymTw: Do we have expect another roster change in Reason Gaming in the next weeks?
PhP: I hope not, we've been one of most stable team out there so far (excluding the sneix-STR change), I hope that won't change.
mymTw: Highlighted: What does the East European scene look like right now, where do you see yourself positioned in there and are there new amateur teams, which you think are going to play on a high level international as well as national just like you in near future, if so name them.
PhP: The support from the organizations is pretty bad, e-sports isn't as evolved as in other countries, like Germany or UK. We have been the #1 team in Czech and Slovakia for about two years. We have a few smaller lans here, and a few bigger ones (like the Czech championship in cyber-games), with quite good prizes (although not good enough to attract teams from other countries).
There are some talented teams, interAction, DEFEATERS, nEophyte, and those are just from Czech and Slovakia. Then there is MGC from Russia, OBi from Hungary and maybe some others. All these teams have great potential, and if they keep on practising they can make it among the top teams.
