History:
Qradio wurde einst von woozy als einfacher Radio-Stream gegründet, er wollte für sich und seine Freunde dafür sorgen, dass die Nächte nicht so langweilig waren und sie sich die Zeit mit Musik vertreiben konnten.
Mit der Zeit wuchs das Vorhaben heran und mit dem Auftauchen von "Q" im Channel #Qradio war das QR geboren.
Nach einer Weile wurde das QR von immer grösserer Bedeutung, durch die ersten Live-Übertragungen von grösseren Spielen (Clanbase UT EuroCup damals).
Mittlerweile werden dort alle Arten von Spielen übertragen, von R**W, über UT zu CS. Da das Qradio ein skandinavischer Sender ist, handelt es sich meistens um wichtige skandinavische Spiele.
Einige werden das Qradio schon kennen.
Sie berichteten Live, als mTw.aTn gemeinsam mit NiP in Schweden trainierte, auch Übertragungen anderer wichtiger Events sind geplant.
Die Djs beim Qradio sprechen grundsätzlich englisch, ebenso ist es eine Regel im Channel englisch zu schreiben, damit auch alles von allen verstanden werden kann.



How many DJs are there on QR?

woozy:"We are about 20people working in QRadio."



What do you need, if you want to be a DJ on QR?

woozy:"First of all you need to Download shoutcast (www.shoutcast.com). Then you need to get some basic knowlegde in it.
After that you send an email to DJ@QRadio.org and we will send an email back when we have a QRadio Tryout Night."



If there’s no DJ available, whats on QR then?

woozy:"Then we have our Auto Broadcaster, that plays music and if you are in #QRadio channel you will have
Two songs you can vote for and the song that get most votes will be played next on the radio, so when no DJ is online, the listeners are the DJ."



How many listeners can join the stream?

woozy:"Well we doesn’t have any limit to that, if its allot of listeners we just get more servers relayed to QRadio, our
listeners record is 932 Listeners, but we can take allot more."



The Stream, which connection does it have to the internet?

woozy:"Well we have different servers, but our main server is on a 2*150mbit server, Sponsored by Warzone"



What kind of Servers are available for QR and who pays them?

woozy:"We are a None-Profit radio, so we get relay server from listeners and sponsors."



Is there a special one for isdn and modem user with ?

woozy:"We are working on that, but we have one when we commentate games so modem users can listen to."



What kind of music can be listened to at QR?

woozy:"We play all kind of music and we take request from our listeners. We have about 20 Djs and they play mixed/random music."



Are there some kind of price-games or Challenges on QR?

woozy:"No not atm, we are only doing this on our spare time, so we have no money, but maybe in the future."



When mTw.aTn trained with NiP, there was a live stream on QR, do you make more things like that? (f.e live-streams if theres an important game?)

woozy:"We are trying to cover as many games we can, we commentate UT,CS,RTCW and Q3, but we always need more commentators.
And we like to send our djs to do some live coverage if we can, like when mTw and NiP trained."



Where do your listeners come from?

woozy:"Mostly its gamers, but we have allot of different listeners.
