The end of the GamesCom-days

Do you remember christmas? You are waiting for an event and some hours later you are diappointed because it's over? That's the feeling we had after the GamesCom. We had some very nice and excited days at GamesCom with a big count of mTw members and don't want to withhold it from our readers in a short summary. First of all we have to say that the results of our teams weren't the best but the performace was good.

The first of us, especially our editorial staff, arrived very early. Due to that our readers were the first who were able to see the first pictures from GamesCom 2009. Our FIFA-players played a good tournament but didn't had a chance versus the twins.


Thursday

At Thursday three of our CS:Source players played for the German national team at the ENC final. They were able to beat the opponent from France after threee maps and win the ENC 2009!


Friday

During our CS:Source players celebrated the win of the ENC it looked like they forgot the tactics for the iFNG versus Team Alternate. They lost the game and streak of 34 wins in a row was over. Our Quake-player smoke lost in the first round at the Intel Extreme Masters Challenge versus d1ablo and was out of the tournament.


Saturday

Saturday was a nice and calm day. We hadn't any interesting games on stage so we were able to make some videointerviews with our sponsors and to prepare Sunday.



Sunday

On Sunday our danish guys had to prepare on stage. The won versus the swedish powerhouse from SK Gaming after three very tight games but lost in the final to mousesports who von versus fnatic at the semi-final. But the second place was a good one related to the skill of each team who participated. Congratulations to the germans from mousesports!




An other Highlight was the presentation of the Gamer-Notebooks from our partner mySN. They developed Notebooks which are perfect to play on. At their booth you were able to test the Notebook-series powered by mTw and to meet our players. A special was the lottery of the Notebook from our famous CS:Source player Andre „nooky“ Utesch. The whole CS:Source team signed it and it was raffled on the stage next to the mySN booth. A video of the lottery is available here.
