mTw on the hunt for medals at Chengdu

mTw.int: three wins in a row

The first day of the World Cyber Games is ending. We have seen a beautiful opening event from China. in the opening game our Human yAwS was able to defeat Sky in a great match!

Multiple players were able to qualify for Chengdu. Our danish Counter-Strike Team will try to defend their title for their country, while yaWs and HoRRor will represent Germany. We will give you updates, pictures and one or the other video on a daily basis. The first players already went to Chengdu at monday and so they will have no problems with jet lagg at the tournament.

The venue is Chengdu which is the capital of the province of Sichuan. With a population of 10,44 million people it is one of the biggest and important cities of the republic. Because of that we can expect that the WCG will present some good numbers of spectators. Although, or maybe even because of, the closing of the World of Warcraft servers some weeks ago you can expect that the chinese will fill up the place in no time.

mTw.Mindfactory has a good chance to win a medal since we are participating in three contests. As already mentioned our danish Counter-Strike team will take part and in the last year they did manage to get the Goldmedal for Denmark. Marc 'yAwS' Förster will lead our Human armies into the battle and has the honor to play the opening game 2009 against Sky. In Starcraft Marius ' HoRRor' Overhageböck will try to get on the podium and of course we wish him the best of luck for that.

While yAwS will start on wednesday showing off his skills our Counter-Strike team with Danny 'zonic' Sørensen and HoRRor will eventually follow on thursday. The World Cyber Games will stream some games live, you can find a detailed schedule here.

10:58 o'clock
After a strong T side of PowerGaming, leading 8:7, mTw came back and won the game with an over all victory of 18:12! Next game against the greece Team will start soon.

10:00 o'clock
mTw.int could win their first match very easy with 21:9 against Sequential from Australia. After a longer break they played against Virtus.pro from Russia. They won that match aswell with 20:10. It looks good for our danish Powerhouse so far! The match against the finish Team, PowerGaming, should start momentarily.
