gl hf guys!
EPS Nordic at 8 PM
Tonight mTw.int vs MYM
It's about halftime at the EPS Nordic Season 2 and mTw.int is still the team to beat, ranking first. After the win on last weeks match against the Roskilde ravens, our guys around could and want to put some more points between them and their opponents. To do that they have to beat Meet Your Makers on tonights matchup. The Swedes had some changes in their roster, but that didn't influence their play in a bad way. After loosing the first three games, they were able to win all three last matches, so they will be hungry to go on like that.
mTw.Mindfactory will have to show who has the anticipation and will to go on winning, the map will be de_tuscan. Up until now we don't have any statment nor lineup of MYM so we will have to give you those info to a later point. So that you're not bored until the match we made a small interview with Danny on tonights match:
mymTw: Up until now you only lost one game in the EPS Nordic, although that doesn't matter anymore, since this team left the EPS. How do you think have you guys managed to focus on every match and have the preperation and mentality to win ever since?
Danny 'zonic' Sørensen: After we had our crisis meeting we felt it was time to make some changes within the bombspots. It gave the team a totally new motivation, and people really wanted to win.
We met SK and fnatic the same evening, and we had to beat them both to get a chance to advance (All the teams were in the league at that time). We did and after that we just continue playing our own game, and that is why we are here today with 6 wins out of 6.
mymTw: How do you like the EPS Nordic so far, are online matchups lessinteresting because of the lack of the live atmosphere of an event?
zonic: I think it is important to have these online matches. It makes the CS scene more stable, and I hate when we play an event and there is like 4 months to the next event. Companies like XLBET can survive in eSport with Online leagues, and fans and people can watch at least one good match every week, which makes people stay with Counter Strike I believe. However LAN is definitely more fun and really shows the best of CS, so of course I prefer playing on lan rather than online :)
mymTw: After you won last years EPS your goal will be defending your title. How do you think are your chances to go all the way this time?
zonic: I think they are good. I'm very proud of the team and that we have managed to move on even though we have had such a bad year here in 2010. A lot of people expected us to do really well with trace and minet on the team, but as we have been saying all along, for some teams it takes a long time to get use to each other. I do believe that we can do great, we have beaten fnatic and SK before, and I see our selves in the final against one of these two teams.
mymTw: Another thing, away from CS: The World Cup of football is coming up in just some weeks. Are you looking forward to watch some matches?
zonic: I can't wait... Finally Denmark managed to qualify for the World Cup, so it will be a joy to watch some football again!
I will have some of my friends over for a couple of weeks to watch some of the World Cup, and me and the team will take the trip to Kiel, Germany where we will have a nice BBQ party with our boss Lars Eiben! Hopefully it will be in the middle of the Quarter Final where Denmark wins 3-0 against Germany with hattrick of Eriksen or Bendtner :P
mymTw: Who do you think is the favorite in this years FIFA World Cup?
zonic: Top 3:
Spain
Argentina
Netherlands
(sorry Brazil, no Ronaldinho :(!!)
mymTw: Ok that should do it for now, any last words for the matchup of tonight?
zonic: I am extremely happy to see all our fans supporting us with the eStars vote. As far as I know we are on the 5th place right now, so keep voting for us!
Enjoy the summer!
Another thing is that we are trying at the moment to get an invite to DreamHack Summer. I know that many of you guys are asking about if we are attending.. Hope to see you there, and maybe I'll find a piano so I can teach you some trickz!
