IEM5 World Championship - Day 2
On the second day at the IEM5 World Championship, taking place at CeBIT
in Hannover, Group A, a group where our team is expected to get first place. beside the other strong names that we are facing, will be played out. Let's see how is the Group A looking like:
Again, a total of 15 matches will take place, with three games always taking
place at the same time. There will be five matches which you will only
be able to follow on ESL TV, one per round. In the group stage, only the
winner will automatically progress to the knock-out phase, whereas the
second and third-placed teams will enter the relegation stage with SK Gaming, Na'Vi and fnatic from Group B.

mTw secured the second spot in semi-finals
mTw is now the second team through to the semi finals at the IEM5 World Championship after coming out on top of Group A. As a prediction, mTw and Frag eXecutors somehow knew that they will finish on first and second places, despite the other matches they went trough, and maybe that's why we saw less motivation for the final matches.
Also, mTw claimed four victories for this second day at IEM5 World Championship, managing to beat TCM-Gaming (16:2), Frag eXecutors (16:3), Moscow Five (16:7) and UMX Gaming (16:1). In the final matchround, mTw lost against compLexity on de_nuke with the score of 3:16, a result which earns the Brazilian side a place in the relegation stage. On the other side, Frag eXecutors won their last match against UMX Gaming on de_inferno with the score of 16:12, a result that boosted the team just behind mTw, with the same amount of points (12), but still not enough to gain first place because of the loss they sufered against them earlier in the day.
Last match of the day, where Moscow Five won against TCM-Gaming with the score of 16:10 on de_train, was only a formality, since compLexity were already in the final stages of the competition, with a total of 9 points, just behind Frag eXecutors.
Finally, mTw are through to the semi finals, together with SK Gaming, two teams who will be waiting for the outcome of the relegation matches which will set Frag eXecutors vs. fnatic and Na'Vi vs. compLexity.
